Anica Mrose Rissi conducted a wonderful writers’ workshop at the Ocean City Intermediate School on October 5. Rissi, an accomplished author of picture books, chapter books, and novels for middle grade and young adult readers, spoke to fifth graders about her approach to writing. Following her presentation, the students had the opportunity to practice the art of writing a mystery as told in text messages. The students were bursting with great ideas! She will conduct a similar program for seventh graders on October 7.
