The 2017 F&V Author’s HIGH Tea was a success with our own Ocean City author and Library Board of Trustees President, Jennifer Shirk, Romance novelist!

Excerpted & Adapted from Jennifer Shirk’s website…

Jennifer Shirk has a bachelor degree in pharmacy—which has in NO WAY at all helped her with her writing career—but, she likes to point it out, since it shows romantic-at-hearts come in all shapes, sizes, and mind-numbing educations.

She writes sweet, romantic comedies. Her novel SUNNY DAYS FOR SAM won the 2013 Golden Quill Published Authors Contest for Best Traditional Romance, and her book Fiance by Fate was an Amazon best seller in series romance.

Thousands more served as nurses and in branches of the armed forces like the Women’s Army Corps and the U.S. Navy’s Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service. African American women fought a double war: one against the nation’s enemies and another against discrimination. Historian Patricia Chappine explores the pivotal roles that New Jersey women played in World War II.
