Baby Bag Committee
The Baby Bag committee supports and maintains a library program instituted by Becky Greene, HR/Administrative Clerk of the OCFPL, and paid for by the OCFPL. Baby Bag Committee members assemble materials suitable for new mothers. These include a read-aloud- book, a growth chart and information sleeve, an age-appropriate book mark and informational materials about the OCFPL and its children’s programs.
The Baby Bag committee maintains a stock of 100 baby bags at the Shore Maternity Center at Shore Medical Center, in Somers Point. Two volunteers are needed each month to fill the baby bags and deliver them to the Maternity Ward.
The goal of the Baby Bag Committee is to introduce the new mothers and their babies to reading and the opportunities available at the OCFPL.
