The Ocean City Free Public Library Friends & Volunteers hosted its Author’s High Tea on April 30, 2026, featuring local author Vincent Malfitano. The Garden Room at the Flanders Hotel was filled for the event, as library board members and staff, volunteers, and community members gathered for a traditional high tea. Mayor Gillian presented the guest of honor with a key to the city, then Mr. Malfitano regaled the crowd with tales of his books, including his crime noir book Ocean City New Jersey: America’s Greatest Family Resort.
