The Friends and Volunteers of the Ocean City Free Public Library provided the books for the participants in the Books In Your Backyard pre-school activity held at the library on December 3, 2019. Local police and firefighters read to the children, spoke about their job responsibilities and posed for photos. The activity is part of the pre-school community outreach program and is an attempt to expose children to community helpers.
