The Books In Your Backyard preschool activity was held at the library on November 9, 2021. Local firefighters and policemen read to the children, spoke about their job responsibilities and posed for pictures. The activity is part of the preschool community outreach program and is meant to familiarize the preschoolers with local community helpers.Two books were provided for each preschooler by the Friends and Volunteers.
Parents were encouraged to apply for library cards for their children and were also provided with information about the various programs offered by the library for preschool aged children.
