The Ocean City Primary School’s Third Grade Family Literature Club gathered on Tuesday, October 24th for their first meeting of the 2023 – 24 school year. Led by teacher, Peg Dunner, students and parents were excited to dive into the well loved chapter book, The Best Worst School Year Ever, by Barbara Robinson. All who attended were given a hand-made bookmark kindly provided by F & V member, Carla Heist, and the Jersey Cape Atlantic Chapter of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America. The Literature Club will meet monthly to read and discuss a variety of children’s books.

The F & V’s are proud sponsors of the Literature Club and provide the books that are read each year. They also provide for an end-of-year celebration.

F & V members, Sue Gargiulo and Cathy Schilling, helped man a table in the library atrium during National Friends of the Library Week, October 15 – 21, 2023. They greeted library visitors, promoted library events and welcomed all to take treats and items offered by the library.
